Rabel Systems winner at the Red Dot Product Design Awards 2021
It is our honour to announce that Rabel Systems adds another Red Dot Design Award to their collection. Rabel 14200 was awarded the RED DOT PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD 2021 award.
The "Red Dot Award: Product Design" is an internationally renowned award which is aimed at products that have been released in the last two years and are superior in areas like: innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecology, durability and design.
For more than 60 years, the RED DOT AWARD – one of the world’s largest design competitions – has been providing a platform for designers and companies to assess good design. The experience and expertise of the RED DOT jury in the evaluation process are unparalleled. Winning this award bears testimony to the exceptional design quality of RABEL SYSTEMS products at an international level.
Once more the RABEL SYSTEMS research and development department has brought the change in the Aluminium industry through the creation of a new category of products with emphasis on the design. Aluminium systems in addition to their primary function can now play a role as facade design elements on a building.
Rabel 14200 is a kinetic façade shading system folding in the vertical axis. Groups of sashes in pairs can be operated electrically upwards or downwards. Sashes of a size of up to 1.5 x 4 m can be moved up or down electronically.
The system is an ideal solution for projects where it is important to allow ease of passage through the shading system. Through its projection, while in the opened position, it can provide extra shading allowing more light to pass in the building while blocking direct sunlight.
The system has been designed to allow for seamless integration with the building external cladding. Several versions are available to be used with fiber cement, HPL, Aluminium composite panels, wood, glass, ceramic and metal sheets. Provision has been taken to allow the use of cladding material on the shading system itself. In addition to the cladding material, the system comes with a variety of blades to be installed vertically or horizontally.
